Amazon CloudFront

Deliver content to your users from Amazon's global network of edge locations

Boost the speed of content delivery to your end-users

Amazon CloudFront is a blazing fast content delivery network (CDN) that safely and securely delivers data, applications, videos and APIs to global customers. Plus, it does that all with high transfer speeds, low latency, and in a developer-friendly environment.

Using a network of regional edge caches to bring content from your origin servers closer to end-users, Cloudfront is integrated with the global AWS infrastructure as well as other AWS services including Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 and AWS WAF and Shield for enhanced DDoS attacks mitigation. CloudFront has built-in protection against reflection attacks, SYN floods, UDP floods, and DDoS attacks. CloudFront can run custom code for your needs, thereby enhancing and customizing your customers' user experience. Plus, if you use Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 or Elastic Load Balancing, you don't pay for any data transferred between these services and CloudFront.

Your team can manage Amazon CloudFront using familiar AWS tools such as the Management Console and CloudFormation, plus APIs, CLIs, and SDKs as well as 3rd party IaaS tools like Terraform. Amazon's CDN also offers a simple, pay-as-you-go pricing model which requires no upfront fees and no long-term contracts.

The Amazon CDN is massively scaled and globally distributed. With over 220+ points of presence (PoPs), the CDN leverages the Amazon network for fantastic performance and availability for end-users.

As a highly-secure CDN, CloudFront provides both network and application-level protection. While your traffic and applications benefit through AWS Shield Standard, you can also use the AWS Certificate Manager to create and manage custom SSL certificates, and all for no extra fees.

As for features, the Amazon CDN is highly customizable for your specific application requirements, plus it can integrate with other tools and automation interfaces by using native APIs or AWS tools.

Amazon CDN integrates easily with other AWS services such as EC2, S3, Route 53, Elemental Media Service and Elastic Load Balancing, All features in the CDN can be configured by using APIs or using the same AWS Management Console.
